BOC Goes to the NAC – January 16th | 5:00 PM

On January 16, 2026, the NAC is hosting their annual Black Out Night (BON), an opportunity to watch a play written by a phenomenal Black playwright. This year's play is a production of Natasha Mumba’s Copperbelt which is centered in the spirit of Ubuntu, “I am because we are.”

What to expect:

You can come with your crew, a date or join us solo and still have a great time. Getting to the NAC can be a little tricky but BOC can even try to set-up some carpooling so you're not out their on the OC Transpo ;) We'll start the evening by visiting the BON market set up with some local Black female enterpreneurs, receive some NAC swag before heading to our reserved seats and watching a great production. For those who don't want the night to end, there's also the after party! We have it on record that it's a good time!

5:00pm to 7:30pm BON Market showcasing women-led businesses

9:30pm to late Afterparty with DJ Seiiizi
